Noticeably Warm Chamber

The comfortably-sized crevice leads to another room. It's even warmer here, hotter than any summer day you've felt. If it gets any worse than this, you doubt you'll be able to bear it for long.

The source of the heat becomes apparent: There's a huge serpent here, and it's mouth and eyes are glowing red-hot! The only other exit from this room is behind it. The overgrown salamander watches you emerge and hisses!
